•Iontophoresis: This uses a special device which is applied to the area of excessive sweating. The device may be ordered from the rooms.
•Botox injections: A latest innovation in the treatment of excessive sweating. Injections are given once in 6 months to a year, depending on when symptoms return. Botox may be used for hyperhidrosis of the axillae (armpits), palms or soles.
•Sympathectomy: An operation which stops the nerve supply to the area of excessive sweating. It is not without its complications and should therefore not be considered as a first line treatment
